At Epistemic, we believe that every child deserves the chance to follow their dreams. Too many children in the UK miss out on the opportunity to explore the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics beyond the classroom and we’re on a mission to change that. By connecting young people and professionals at the cutting edge of their fields, we aim to inspire every child to follow their dreams.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is, through volunteers using technology such as video-conferencing, to ensure that distance of a school from STEM centres, links to further education facilities and a lack of funds to spare on inviting speakers are no longer reasons why young people may not be exposed to a wider range of potential careers.

OUR SERVICE

Epistemic is a service which connects students from all backgrounds anywhere in the UK to STEM professionals, from a variety of backgrounds based in the UK. Epistemic aims to break down those barriers for students to find out more about STEM careers and ensure they have opportunities to seek careers’ advice and help plan their career paths, as well as encouraging and inspiring the future generations of STEM professionals. There is a shortage of STEM professionals (and particularly Engineers) and by providing a service that makes STEM career advice more accessible, we can contribute to filling that gap.
